Happy Flag Day

Have you ever wondered what fabric a flag is made from? And whether it can be sewn from cotton?

Here’s an interesting fact: cotton is a wonderful material, but it’s rarely used for flags. Natural fabric looks beautiful, yet it fades quickly under the sun and loses its shape from rain and wind. A flag, however, must withstand everything — heat, cold, storms, and years of exposure. That’s why special synthetic fabrics are usually chosen: lightweight, durable, weather-resistant, and bright even under scorching sunlight.

But there’s something more important. No matter what the fabric is, it carries a symbol. And for Global Textile, working with cotton and modern materials, this idea has a special meaning: the strength of a symbol begins with the quality of the fabric — and quality begins with the people who create it.

Happy Flag Day! May our flag fly over the country as confidently as Uzbekistan’s textile industry grows and evolves — a future we are building together.
