Water and sustainability in the focus of COP29
Today, the CEO of Global Textile, Muzaffar Razakov, spoke at the panel session "Efficient Water Use" during the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku. This significant international event brought together leaders, experts, and executives of prominent companies to explore solutions that promote sustainable water resource management in the context of global climate change.
Muzaffar Razakov highlighted Global Textile's achievements in efficient water use, particularly the successful adoption of drip irrigation systems that reduce water consumption by up to 50% while increasing yields by 20-30%. He emphasized that water conservation must extend beyond agriculture to include production processes, advocating for modern water purification methods and technologies such as water harvesting, which captures and utilizes rainwater and meltwater effectively.
Platforms like COP29, where experiences and best practices are exchanged, pave the way for innovative solutions and sustainable growth.
