Wheat Fields: Preparing for the New Season

Vincent van Gogh created an entire series of works featuring wheat fields. One of the most famous is Wheatfield with Crows. More than a century later, this image is still instantly recognizable.

Wheat itself entered human life much earlier. It has been cultivated for more than 10,000 years, and agriculture has changed dramatically over that time. Today, future harvests depend on agronomic calculations, soil condition data, the choice of seed material, sowing dates and precise organization of field operations.

These days, preparations for the wheat season are underway in Global Textile’s fields. There is still time before sowing begins, while agricultural teams are already taking part in seminars, discussing field conditions, land preparation technologies, equipment readiness for the sowing campaign and solutions for the upcoming season.

October will bring machinery into the fields and mark the beginning of the first sowings. September is dedicated to the work that will largely determine what the next harvest will be like.
