Global Textile Studies Almarai’s Approach to Vertical Integration

Global Textile Studies the Experience of a Global Leader in Vertical Integration

As part of a working visit by the Fergana region delegation to Saudi Arabia, Global Textile CEO Muzaffar Razakov visited Almarai, one of the world’s largest vertically integrated food production companies, together with the regional governor.

Almarai serves as an important example for us of how a large vertically integrated company can operate. Its production chain covers the entire process, from growing feed crops and raising livestock to processing, manufacturing finished products and delivering them to store shelves. Every stage functions as part of one integrated system, supporting efficiency, consistent quality and control throughout the process.

Global Textile follows a similar business model, although we operate in a different industry. Our production chain begins in cotton fields and ends with finished garments. Managing such an extensive operation requires coordination across all facilities, precise planning and consistent principles for organizing production.

For many years, Almarai has been one of our key reference points in developing this system. We study its management practices, examine its approach to organizing production processes and apply solutions proven by the experience of a company operating on a global scale. For Global Textile, this offers an opportunity to build on an established business model and adapt it to the needs of our own textile cluster.

We hope this visit will lay the foundation for further cooperation with Almarai and open up opportunities for joint projects.
