Knowledge Day: Who Will Today’s Schoolchildren Become?

Today, thousands of children returned to their desks. And among the familiar questions, one will certainly be asked: “What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Some will say they want to become programmers. Others dream of becoming engineers, designers, agronomists, or doctors. And some will change their answer many times before finding their path.

Today, Global Textile employs more than 7,200 people across hundreds of different professions. Agronomists and technologists, engineers and programmers, designers and pattern makers, mechanics, and specialists in quality, finance, and logistics all contribute to our work.

Looking at a first-grader with a new backpack, it is difficult to imagine who they will become in fifteen or twenty years. Perhaps one of today’s schoolchildren will create new materials and technologies, someone will lead their own company, and someone may one day join Global Textile. And we like to think that by then, we will be able to offer them professions that do not even exist today.

But for now, there is a first lesson ahead, new knowledge to discover, and countless discoveries waiting to be made.
