Partner meeting BCI
30/03/2026

On March 27–28, a Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) partner meeting took place in Fergana, bringing together representatives of several cotton-textile clusters. The event was held in an open dialogue format, where participants discussed the implementation of the Better Cotton standard, exchanged experiences, and observed how processes are carried out in real conditions.
During the meeting, participants shared experiences in applying innovative approaches in sustainable agriculture, agronomy, and entomology. Special attention was given to gender equality issues and the role of women in the development of the industry. The panel discussion covered key priorities for the 2026–2027 season, including updates to the standards and the development of sustainable practices. The focus was on strengthening cooperation, knowledge sharing, and enhancing participants’ competencies.
The practical part took place at Global Textile’s production facilities, where participants had the opportunity to observe processes in action, ask questions, and connect theory with practice.
Such meetings provide what matters most — deeper understanding, exchange of experience, and collective progress forward.
We thank everyone who took part in these two days.
