Work at home or abroad?

A video recently spread online showing an Uzbek worker abroad being humiliated with the words: “you have no work back home.” Stories like this resonate deeply because they reflect the painful choice many make when leaving their families to seek income abroad.

At Global Textile, we see another reality: in Uzbekistan, there are opportunities to work with dignity, stay close to family, and feel respected for your contribution.

This very topic was also discussed at the seminar “Decent Work — The Foundation of Sustainable Cotton Production Better Cotton 2025/26”, organized under the Better Cotton Uzbekistan program, where our team took part.
